New Teaching Programme Launched in Abu Dhabi

Students in training programs will have a solid foundation in pedagogical strategies, methods of motivating students, and abilities to adapt to various educational needs. The program provides the opportunity to create a legacy through the succession of candidates, as it is expected that they will bring new life perspectives to Abu Dhabi classes, enhancing the educational experience for students and supporting the next generation in charter schools.

Suitable candidates must meet certain age criteria and hold a bachelor's degree in any specialty from an accredited university. They may be retirees or unemployed specialists, homemakers, or individuals seeking to return to the workforce and demonstrate a significant impact on education.

After careful selection by ADEK, the first cohort of 125 candidates will undergo an accelerated yearly training program in partnership with leading higher education institutions, including the University of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain University, and Emirates College for Advanced Education with campuses both in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Successful graduates will be employed in charter schools throughout Abu Dhabi.

The educational plan of the program is developed to equip future educators with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for modern teaching. The Department of Education and Knowledge of Abu Dhabi (ADEK) opens up opportunities for individuals from all sectors with diverse skills, experiences, and backgrounds.

This unique initiative provides a chance to enter the educational field after completing a standalone accredited program for improving qualifications in education. The initiative is open both to citizens and expatriates, promoting diversity among educators and bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Interested candidates may include individuals with different communication skills, a desire to exchange knowledge, adaptability, and resilience to embrace new challenges. Participants will learn to develop effective educational plans, individual strategies for optimizing the educational process, and creating effective assessment tools. The diploma focuses on classroom management, leadership, and communal strategies to create an engaging and progressive learning environment.

Participants will also learn about innovative teaching methods and how to utilize technology for continuous improvement of teaching effectiveness.
